全てのサバニ愛好家にとってバイブルと言っても過言ではない、故白石勝彦氏の本のオンライン配信を開始致しました。
この本は現在では年間4回も沖縄県各地で開催される様になった帆掛けサバニのレースイベントの火付け役になったばかりでなく、数百年のもの間琉球列島で培われて来た帆掛けサバニの伝統が衰退して行く中、レクレーション用途として見直されるきっかけにもなりました。これは、日本の和船の中でも他に類を見ない事であり、まさに著者はサバニの恩人と言っても過言ではないかも知れません。
「少しでも多くの人がサバニを知るきっかけになるのなら」との氏の生前の言葉を受け、有志によって構築された仕組みを利用してのオンライン配信となります。

About the book
We have commenced the online publication of the book which is almost the bible for all the Sabani lovers, authored by the late Mr. Katsuhiko Shiraishi.
This book has become the trigger not only of the sabani race events held actually four time a year in varios places in Okinawa nowadays, but also of representaion as the only traditional Japanese boat to see a revival as a recreational boat. The author should be called as the sabani's greatest benefactor.
Please enjoy the author's beautiful and precise drawings simultaneously with description on the characteristics and building method of the sabani through the author's peceptive observation.

We have examined and confirmed that the service works on the computer runs Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.5, Mac OS X 10.6, with the browsers such as Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Safari 5, Firefox 3, Google Chrome 6. However every combination of OS and browser are not guaranteed. Refund will be made by sending captured screen in the case of not properly displayed.
